چکیده

Background: Pain is one of the most bothersome symptoms reported in Parkinson’s disease (PD), yet its underlying pathophysiological mechanisms are not well understood. Its prevalence and effects on quality life patients with monogenic forms PD have been systematically explored. Methods: Comprehensive literature review exploring association between ( SNCA , PRKN PINK1 DJ1 LRRK2 ) pain. We included pain ATP13A2, VPS35 GBA1 mutation carriers. After initial screening, sixty-five relevant articles were identified. Studies’ design, sample sizes, outcome measures highly heterogeneous. Results: Our suggests that some causes show a higher specific subtypes. While painful foot dystonia more frequently carriers, last ones also describe frequent lower back mostly. general commonly carriers followed by mutations. as an symptom severe described -PD patients. There limited insufficient evidence to report ATP13A2 Conclusions: Linking genetic profiles outcomes may meaningful clinical impact, facilitating individualized treatment for PD.

Automatic, unsupervised classification of dyskinesia in patients with Parkinsons Disease

One of the characteristic symptoms of patients with Parkinson Disease (PD) is a rigidity of movement. These symptoms disappear after administration of Levodopa. However, the long-term use of levodopa causes involuntary movements (dyskinesia). A proper diagnosis requires an automatic, unsupervised method for the detection and classification of levodopa induced dyskinesia. The main problem, howev...

The Revolution in Human Monogenic Disease Mapping

The successful completion of the Human Genome Project (HGP) was an unprecedented scientific advance that has become an invaluable resource in the search for genes that cause monogenic and common (polygenic) diseases. Prior to the HGP, linkage analysis had successfully mapped many disease genes for monogenic disorders; however, the limitations of this approach were particularly evident for ident...

Manual Therapy Choices: A General Approach to Parkinsons Disease

In treating dysfunction, it is normal for most therapists to use a variety of modalities and methods including myofascial release, muscle-energy techniques, positional-release techniques and many more. The assumption must be that different tools achieve different effects, and the ones we choose reflect our perception as to the needs of the individual and/or of the tissues involved. Sledgehammer...

Parkinsons Disease Classification using Neural Network and Feature Selection

In this study, the Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP)with Back-Propagation learning algorithm are used to classify to effective diagnosis Parkinsons disease(PD).It’s a challenging problem for medical community.Typically characterized by tremor, PD occurs due to the loss of dopamine in the brains thalamic region that results in involuntary or oscillatory movement in the body. A feature selection algor...

Lessons from studying monogenic disease for common disease.

The prevailing paradigm for common disease emphasizes the role of common variants predisposing to various rampant health problems, and these genetic risk profiles interact with environmental and life style risk factors triggering the disease process and modifying its progress. However, most of what we know about the molecular background of common diseases is in fact based on what we have learne...
